Actor, author, and Harvard graduate Hill Harper, best known for his role on CSI: NY for the past nine seasons and role in new TV show The Good Doctor, founded a female and male skincare line in 2017 called JUA and H2L respectively, under the umbrella of Be The Architect.


Harper was tasked with increasing his social media engagement to drive traffic to the Amazon product pages where his products are sold. Simultaneously, he was to create a brand new social media account in 2018 for the brand to stand alone. The major challenge was to not only promote Hill Harper, the personality, but also his 2 skin care lines plus the brand they are both under, Be The Architect.


Cool Ideas Marketing proposed a campaign that would include content creation followed by a strong social media strategy to introduce the brands while maintaining one consistent message. The goal was not only to grow Hill Harper’s following but also to create Be The Architect’s social presence while generating traffic to their Amazon page organically and through digital ads.


Harper’s social following increased by 50K+ in 12 months, and is ongoing which is a big win for his brand. Be The Architect’s social media accounts are closing in on 5,000 followers. As a result, Amazon sales have grown 120%.
